Resting or Rusting?

I have a Case 450 bulldozer.  It is small but it is handy for clearing land, for digging pits, and just inspiring a feeling of manliness. There is nothing like driving by levers and brakes and hearing the sound of steel tracks clanging and squeaking under you.

When I was working outside the country the problem was - getting the diesel engine cranked after it had set idle for six months or more. I often used two vehicles with jumper cables to boost the battery. The longer it sets, the harder it was to get started.

Isn’t that interesting? It didn’t rest up when it was inactive. It just became closer and closer to being nothing more than a landmark. People can be like that. When we do what we were created to do we are not only handy, we are inspirational. But the longer we set idle, the harder we are to start and the closer we are to just being a landmark. Spring has nearly sprung. What do you need to get you started?

Can we at First Baptist George West give you a boost?
